Summer

Stunning views, perfect temperatures, beautiful flowers, wildlife right on the doorstep.  So many different summer sporting activities but Chalet Pecchio is also a fabulous place to simply relax and unwind.

Italy is very close over the Col du Petit St Bernard which opens up after the winter snow so why not nip over for a pasta lunch or an Italian ice cream?  Explore some of the many lovely mountain villages nearby or visit one of the local summer fetes.

Summer sporting activities include mountain and road biking, hiking (so many wonderful walks right from the door), white water rafting, canyoning, swimming, adventure parks (ideal for children), horse riding, summer skiing, golf and tennis.

For those guests who prefer a more relaxed approach, we can arrange Pilates and Yoga classes with local teachers, or perhaps a day at a local spa or one of the local outdoor swimming pools.  We also have the renowned Chez Merie restaurant right in our village which has a lovely open air pool in the summer – enjoy a delicious lunch and then simply relax for the rest of the day by the pool.

Walking

There is a huge variety of walks in the area, from serious hut to hut hikes to gentle strolls by the river.  We are right on the edge of the Vanoise National Park with something to suit all levels.  The lifts at all of the local resorts are open during July and August to get you to higher altitudes quickly.

Cycling

Our location is perfect for keen cyclists who want to test their stamina on some of the classic Tour de France stages which are right on our doorstep. Here are just a few examples:

  • Col de l’Iseran (2,674m)
  • Cormet de Roselend (1,967m)
  • Col du Petit St Bernard (2,188m)
  • Col de la Madeleine (1,993m)

For mountain bikers, we have some of the best terrain in the world and during the peak summer months the lifts are open with bike racks to take you up the mountain.

We will be happy to advise on bike hire if you don’t bring your own.

We have Winter 2024 / 2025 availability
