Drive
It is a 10 hour drive from the French ports travelling via the motorway routes. Head towards Bourg Saint Maurice which is at the bottom of the valley. Please note that during the winter months the cols are closed so any route chosen must be via Albertville and despite what your Sat Nav may tell you the cols Petit St Bernard and d’Iseran are both closed.
Fly
Our nearest airports drive times: Chambery(CMF) 1 and half hours, Grenoble(GNB) – about 2 and quarter hours, Geneva(GVA) 2 and half hours, Lyon(LYS) – about 2 and half hours. They are all well served by a variety of airlines.
If you are hiring a car at Geneva, it is better to hire on the Swiss side as cars will have winter tyres and Swiss cars will usually have a vignette (toll sticker for Swiss motorways).
Train
Bourg St Maurice is 15km away and is is served by day and night Eurostar trains from London or Ashford. Check the details for summer and winter timetables as they vary. www.raileurope.co.uk or www.eurostar.com. We will be happy to collect you from Bourg station.

Directions
From Geneva airport
Leaving the airport follow signs for France and Annecy (ie you will reach T junction with traffic lights – turn left and almost immediately right – say 450 yds).
Once in France follow signs to Annecy initially A11 E62 then join A41 E712 for Annecy leaving this motorway at exit 16 for Annecy + Albertville and Lac (Lake).
At Annecy follow signs for Albertville (if in doubt follow ‘toutes directions’) N508 (Michelin map D1508) along the lakeside. Follow directions to Albertville, and at Ugine go right onto the N212 – still following signs to Albertville. From Albertville follow N90 to Moutiers and continue as above.
If traffic is very heavy or weather is bad you may be better to stay on A41 to Chambery and then head for Albertville from there A41 – A43 – N 90.
After Moutiers, follow signs to Tarentaise and Bourg St Maurice.
From Bourg St Maurice
Arrive in Bourg from Moutiers and you will pass the train/bus station on the right and at roundabout take 2nd exit – almost straight on (2 o’clock) passing shops and restaurants. After ¼ mile another roundabout and turn left – direction Seez/Val d’Isere, look at your trip meter as you have approximately 7m/10km to Ste Foy.
After a mile or so you will go through village of Seez and as you exit the village bear right – direction Val d’Isere.
Stay on this road for approximately 5m/8km until you arrive in the village of Ste Foy passing Hotel Le Monal on the left and after a right hand bend you will see a signpost on the right to Villaroger and immediately after this turn left – direction La Rosiere/Le Miroir.
After approx one mile go through small village La Mazure, bear left over the bridge and left bend uphill and 200 yards later turn sharp right – direction Le Miroir immediately before the bus shelter.
After 100 yards go round sharp left hand bend and after another 100 yards on right hand bend you will see Chalet Pecchio straight ahead of you.
